Although you shamelessly bought a Spurgeon devotional purely for the purpose of stealing quotes from it for your blog, you still manage to pick a most convicting one. Good work.
It is so true that the times in my life that have been bathed most in prayer have also been the times that my heart has been the most tender and compassionate. And the times when prayer was sorely lacking...well, my heart would grow hard.
